Jan lost her 2 1/2 year battle with small cell lung cancer and liver cancer on July 2, 2005. She worked at Rite Aide, and was employed by Wiremold of Carlisle. She was a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, of Mechanicsburg and was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. She left behind a son, Jeremy, and her companion of 18 years, Steve Winand.
