Laura Gwinner Krohn

I am a Professor of English in the School of Liberal Arts Department at Oral Roberts University. I love my job, teaching Comp, YA Lit, Brit Lit, World Lit, Artistic Expression and instructing/observing the English Education majors. I earned a PhD in Education at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa. Before this I taught Senior English at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs for seven years. Since graduating from ORU in 1984, I have taught every grade from 6th through college level at public and private schools! I completed my Master's degree in English from Northeastern State University of OK, and Alexandra graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) on May 31st, 2014, and currently lives in NW Arkansas working virtually as a graphic designer. In her spare time, she loves Mountain Biking! Sarah was married 18 years ago in Tulsa, where she and her husband live, and is busy keeping up with our grands Elijah, Judah, Isla, and Asa! She also completed her Assoc. of Science (Biology) degree at Tulsa Community College, but now is a busy stay at home Mom and wife.

Favorite memories: My friends and I in Latin class enduring Ms. Fowler ("Beaknose"); sitting in Psych. class and hearing students hit the other side of the wall in the assistant Principal's office (we can't do that now!); driving lessons with creepy "Sunburn" Shellenberger; making Ukranian Easter Eggs in Humanities class; staying after class trying to work out Algebra theorems in order to pass Vicki Helwig Selvoski's class; History club trips to New York City!
